The prices of EVA films and silicon materials rebounded successfully, diverging from the trend of module prices!

The shipment of EVA film increased greatly, and the price rose by 10%.

According to the news from SMM Photovoltaic Vision, the shipment of film has increased greatly in July, and the price has been fully raised. Among them, transparent EVA film has increased by 10%, EPE film has increased by 7%, and POE film has increased by 0%-5%.

The reason for the rise is mainly due to the substantial increase in module production, the EVA film has taken advantage of the trend, and the cost pressure of the film has been transmitted downstream. On the other hand, due to the big inflection point of demand in July, some mainstream manufacturers of EVA film have a high delivery pressure due to insufficient labor, which has caused a periodical supply shortage.

Silicon prices continue to rebound

The price of silicon materials continued to rebound as a whole, including the prices of dense materials from leading manufacturers and second and third line manufacturers, which gradually rose to the range of 8.9-9.9 USD per kilogram.

The main reason for the price rebound, on the one hand, is directly related to the fact that the effective supply increment is less than expected. The new production capacity, including leading enterprises, has experienced varying degrees of delays in commissioning and reaching production capacity, resulting in a decline in production growth in the third quarter and a slowdown in effective supply. On the other hand, the furnaces corresponding to the new production capacity in the crystal pulling process continued to be launched in the third quarter. Growth in demand for primary polysilicon accelerated. Under such a supply and demand environment, the supply of polysilicon materials not only enables the rapid destocking of previous inventories, but also presents a tense trend in the delivery of spot supply orders, and the mainstream prices have rebounded significantly.

Module prices are still brewing to increase prices

The upstream rally has not stopped, and some materials are also brewing price increases. The component link is still squeezed by various factors. The owner pulls goods on demand, and some module manufacturers are unable to deliver lower prices due to cost pressures, and the two parties negotiated back and forth.

Overseas module prices have dropped slightly this week, with China’s export execution price at about US$0.165-0.18 per watt (FOB), and the Asia-Pacific region’s implementation price at about US$0.165-0.17. The recent spot price in Europe is about 0.16-0.17 euros per watt, and the premium of the black back version is about 2-2.5 euro cents.

The overall price of N-type fluctuates slightly, and the recent overseas price of N-HJT modules (G12) is about US$0.197-0.22 per watt.
